This is a new review, of this really good set of new molds and kits by Airfix.

Many rivet counters can say that the "trenches" are too big, that some details are NOT real life, but there is one important fact, we got new kits, with good decals, and a really cheap prices.

Working on most of them with some care, they turn in a really beautifull kits.

I agree that there are some better than others, but, in general they are ok.

As usual we start with the box, the new box art are really good, and the box is just the size we need, small!
That means that if you got to buy it outside, your shipping will be cheap.

The kit come in two sprues, plus one for the clear parts.

Since some time , the manufacturers start to take conscience about clear parts, and start protecting them.

Clear parts are very good and allows you to make the cockpit open.

Very good decals sheet printed by Cartograf for a machine fly by Oberleutnant Franz von Werra in France 1940

As usual with Cartograf decals and the last Airfix productions, the level of detail is very good.

This kit, as it bigger brother in 1/48 allows you to make a machine with the engine uncover.

Just some detail in cockpit walls.

Coolers and flaps are molded separated.

Engine covers and machine guns are very well molded.

The dry fitting shows very good fit.

With minimal work, angine can be turned ina little gem.

Flaps can be made low position.

    Nice seat.

    Stiffeners look ok.

Fitting between wings and fuselage appears good, but needs a little filler and care!

Finally von Werra colors RLM 02 RLM 71 RLM 65, to me one of the most beautifull schemes in 109 E (not counting the African ones!)

If I got to tell you something, is just BUY IT!, for less than a decal sheet, you obtain a very good kit, probably need to replace wheels or another minor detail, but for the price you buy one Tamiya or Hasegawa, you buy two, three or even four of this! what else we can ask for??
